Another trip to Jim's emporium

I visited Jims’ recently with a friend & added a few new items to my collection:

 

This is the first colour photograph in my collection.
It was printed in London December 1960, it’s such a classic beach holiday picture I couldn’t resist.

 

 

This picture really haunted me slightly when I looked at it.
Who was this woman. She lived in a nice house, but why was she alone in the picture, who took it?
